Social media generally connects a large number of websites, with one common link between these websites. The link is that you are able to interact with the website and interact with other visitors.
Social Media is created to freely use and share user-created video, audio, text or multimedia that are published and shared in a social environment, such as a blog, wiki or video hosting site.
The term social media describes a media that is composed by the user and can take many different forms. Some types of social media are forums, message boards, blogs, wikis and podcasts. Social media applications include Google, Facebook and YouTube....

7.Podcasts - audio and video files that are available by subscription, through services like Apple iTunes.
8.Blogs - perhaps the best known form of social media, blogs are online journals, with entries appearing with the most recent first.
