We all know that Link Building is an important part of Search Engine Optimization, and is a way of getting other websites to link to yours. But we all should know that there is always a quality matters. There is some important points to get or exchange links from other site. A webmaster should well-knowed about that points.
1. You have to exchange links for your website only with the related themes.
2. You must check that page you exchange is indexed by google or not.
3. Always Check out bound links (OBL) before you exchange (its better if OBL less than 100)
4. The Page where you take your link, should be 1 click away from the home page (maximum 2 click but not more than that)
5. If the pages have good page rank, always check it's genuine or fake.
6. If the page contain some banns keyword links (like: casino, poker, Viagra) it may be harmful for your site. So be careful of it.
